Madrid, July 9, 2018.- Jean-Paul Geelen, a 46-year-old Dutchman, has been named the new Global Satcom Director of the Spanish satellite telecommunications company Satlink. With more than 23 years of experience in the field of mobile satellite communications, Geelen will also be part of the company’s advisory team in charge of evaluating corporate mergers and acquisitions projects, the development of business plans and the opening of new niches of the market.

As responsible for defining and implementing the sales strategy for satellite communications solutions, the objective of the department under Geelen’s responsibility is focused on the implementation of commercial strategies that strengthen the presence and penetration of Satlink in international markets and its consolidation as a leader in satellite communications solutions.

With extensive experience in the areas of management, sales and communication, graduated by La Escuela Superior de Administración de Empresas and with a perfect command of the English and Dutch languages, Geelen has developed important international projects with high budgets throughout his professional career and high added value. Until his appointment at Satlink, Jean-Paul Geelen held the position of sales director for the EMEA region at Inmarsat Solutions, with responsibility for account management in the United Kingdom, Greece, Cyprus, Italy, Spain and Portugal.
